Richard Branson opens up exclusive Noosa property to holidaymakers, Queensland

Richard Branson and Brett Godfrey have recently opened up their ultra-exclusive Makepeace Island to holidaymakers. Located 20 minutes from Noosa, the property is located on a 9.2 hectare heart-shaped island on the Noosa River and can accommodate up to 22 guests – available as a whole-of-island rental only.  The main features include a four-bedroom guest house, several two-bedroom villas, a boat house, a  two-storey, riverboat transfers, open-aired pavilion for relaxing, outdoor cinema, plus a 500,000-litre lagoon pool and large indoor bar, while the popular Hastings Street in Noosa is just a few minutes upstream and accessible via boat (or helicopter) transfer. For 1-8 guests the property costs A$7,900 (approx £5,350); for 20 guests it costs A$14,990 (approx £10,000 or £500 per person per night). Rates include river transfers, all meals, a ‘cruise’ dinner, kayaks, water skiing and wakeboarding.
