This position will see you working on a large portfolio focussing on the construction industry; servicing already established clients and building the portfolio with further business development. Senior Casualty Underwriter
An experienced Senior Casualty Underwriter is required to join this market leader. Reporting to the Practice leader the primary purpose of your role is to contribute to the achievement of department, branch and corporate goals.
Responsibilities will include organising and presenting complex accounts for approval, provide technical leadership for underwriting/marketing and serve as a resource for unique coverage needs. Assist others in developing pricing strategies, renewal negotiation strategy and developing game plans for new business submissions. Identify, analyse and develop sources new business opportunities build and maintain long-term relationships with key contacts. You will also be expected to provide input on profit analysis, premium planning, market etc
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment with an understanding of the broker selection and appointment process.

Our client is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor. They are currently recruiting in the Risk Division. This role is managing up to 4 staff members so staff management experience is important. The ideal candidate will have professional indemnity and liability experience.
You will be involved in managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high quality customer service is provided at all times. An integral part of your role will be to coordinate, manage and develop Brokers, Risk Advisor and Administrative staff through clear and effective communication, delegation and performance management.
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years commercial broking experience, with professional Indemnity experience/exposure being an advantage. You will also have experience of account management and team Management experience.
