New Zealand is looking for workers in Newcastle
The dream of a new life in New Zealand could soon become a reality for thousands in the North East, as the UK’s leading event for downunder comes to Newcastle.
In New Zealand, the Christchurch earthquake requires skilled migrants to help rebuild the city, and across the country, more migrants are being sought to help fill key gaps in the healthcare, automotive, construction and IT sectors. Recruiters will be at the Down Under Live show, together with state and federal government representatives who have flown across from New Zealand to take part.
Already established as the UK’s number one event for jobs and emigration advice, Down Under Live offers visitors the chance of a new life downunder.
Visitors to the event in Newcastle can speak to recruiters, find roles in Australia and New Zealand, get a free visa assessment, and listen to a full day of seminar talks. A wide range of roles are being recruited for, and many visitors to previous shows are now enjoying a new life in the land of the long white cloud.
The dream of a new life in New Zealand persuaded Rebecca Burdett and her family to move from Newcastle to Auckland in 2012. Enjoying her new outdoors life with idyllic summer evenings, she has no doubt she made the right decision. “Our advice for other Brits wanting to move here is don’t give up, even if it seems impossible, and if you get the opportunity, don’t think twice!” she says.
Down Under Live, the UK’s number one jobs and emigration event, will be at The Bamburgh Suite, St James park, Newcastle, on the 17th & 18th May 2014. Doors open at 10am and tickets cost £10 in advance. Tickets can be purchased either online (www.downunderlive.co.uk) or on the door.
