There’s nothing like Australia.. on TV
More programmes and adverts on life in Australia will fuel interest in migration and travel downunder.
The BBC is showing series 4 of “Wanted Down Under” on weekday mornings, as the cold winter mornings and dark evenings make many Britons ever more eager to make the move to the sunnier climes of Australia. The series, which follows UK families as they start a new life downunder, echoes the spirit of the current Tourism Australia advertising campaign – “There’s nothing like Australia”, which appears on TV and internet channels across the UK.
Other TV channels are also set to air reruns of their programmes, like ITV’s “Poms In Paradise”, or “Phil Down Under” on Channel 4. Several independent TV production companies are also putting together new programmes on life in Australia, as the strength of the Aussie economy, allied to the appeal of a new outdoor lifestyle attracts many thousands of Britons.
New jobs in Australia are also plentiful; its is estimated that over 250,000 new jobs will be created in Western Australia over the next 10 years alone.
If you would like a new life in Australia, why not come to the Down Under Live events in London, Edinburgh and Birmingham and get a free visa assessment, have a look at available jobs and talk to experts in making the move.
